Winter Break (no school!) December 21st- January 4th
Dear Pattison Families,
Wow, it's hard to believe how quickly the first semester has drawn to a close. Together we have accomplished so much for our students and teachers this year! We have achieved our goal of having one member for every student enrolled in Pattison!
Whether you have supported Pattison financially, with your time as a volunteer or both, it's because of your continued support that your Pattison PTA is able to provide meaningful programs and services. School supplies, Meet-your-teacher Night, Tears & Cheers, Colt Bolt, Red Ribbon Week, PTA Social at Open House, Reflections Art contest, and hospitality events for our teachers name a few highlights from the fall. I'm grateful to an AMAZING PTA board who has helped plan and provide these events for our school community and to the staff and administration for their participation and support.
I want to take this opportunity as we prepare to say goodbye to 2015 to thank ALL our school families for your loyal support of PTA and to wish you all the merriest of holidays. Please enjoy the winter break with your families. Travel safely and return rested and rejuvenated to kick off 2016 in game-changing style!
2015-16 PTA President
Pattison PTA would like to thank our awesome Pattison families and faculty for all their support. Because of your continued commitment to Pattison, we have been recognized by Texas PTA and have qualified for the following awards:
Head Start Award
presented to each Local PTA that reaches 75% or more of the previous year’s total membership by August 31st.
Honor Roll Award
(1000 Club level) presented to each Local PTA that reaches 1000 members by October 30th.
Golden Apple Award

MARS Award- (Men Are Really Super)
presented to each Local PTA who have 50 or more men as members.
We are also pleased to announce this year’s recipients of the Texas Honorary Life Membership award. Receiving an Honorary Life Membership Award is one of the highest forms of recognition to let a volunteer/staff know how much we truly appreciate their dedication to our children and the community. Three parent volunteers were recognized at our Monthly Board meeting on December 1st. Sue Carey, Tiffany Gettleman, and Shelley Eastland were all honored for their service. We also were delighted to recognize 2 faculty members at the staff luncheon on Decemeber 14th. Congratulations to Stacie Chmielewski and Marla Burns for your many years of dedication to our children. Finally, we awarded the Extended Service Award to Debbie Barker for her outstanding service and dedication to our school and her long history of support of Texas PTA.

-NEXT YEAR'S PTA EXECUTIVE BOARD
Nominations coming soon...
It's not too soon to ask and start conversations regarding the Board's duties and responsibilities if you enjoy participating in school events and are interested in serving in a higher capacity. You can read a bit more about each position HERE and feel free to email and ask any board member of their experiences- the directory is HERE
-Website Coordinator Trainees
You've seen the ads- its so easy, even Brett Favre and other sports stars can do it! Our Communications Chair, Jen Roth, is planning a meeting (after winter break) with hands-on overview of what's involved in keeping up with our PTA website.
No commitments, just a session to discuss the scope of work over next school year with anyone potentially interested in being Website Coordinator in tandem for the 2016-17 school year.
