WE DID IT!
COLT BOLT 2015-16 was a huge success thanks to ALL OF YOU!!!
Our PTA goal of raising $60,000.00 was achieved after leaving the donation period open one final weekend. We cannot thank you enough! Hosting the event without an outside vendor coordinating, publicizing, processing payments, and hosting means we are able to keep all of your donations (less PayPal fees) for PTA use. It was a challenging endeavor taken on by our Colt Bolt team, but it has paid off! Our students will get to "PIG OUT" on popsicles and watch Mrs. Barker kiss a pig SOON, so stay tuned!
But what does this mean for us as parents, for our school, and for our students? It means our budget this school year is completely covered and all the programs and services we have come to love and expect can continue on!
(A complete summary of all PTA budgets for can be found HERE)
Any excess funds will be available for improvement to, or educational items for our school. They could also be used to increased PTA programs. Last year we were able to keep Spring Carnival tickets to a minimum and omit an additional Spring fundraiser like was needed in years past. We also eliminated online auction donations and other requests for parental contributions!
As many of you heard at the General PTA meeting, PTA has earmarked funds for future large-ticket items for our school, such as a new marquee, and a new track. We are carrying on a long tradition of these types of contributions that benefit every one of our students! In May at the General Membership meeting, we will announce/vote on proposed expenditures.
Special thank yous go out to our GENEROUS SPONSORS for their help with signage, spirit items, and prizes that helped the event streamline into success. Our parents who helped set up, clean up and man the stations, as well as those who attended to cheer on our runners- WE ARE VERY GRATEFUL AND APPRECIATIVE! Thanks again!
We cordially invite you to an annual tradition for a wonderful start of the day

Signing up for Watch D.O.G.S. is easy!
Visit our web page for more details as well as the the sign up schedule to see how you can become a hero of the hallway!
This year, we are continuing our Fridays only scheduling:
7:15am- 1:15pm, 2 Watch DOGS per grade level.
School Store will be open ONCE PER MONTH this year, and needs your help!
This a special morning for the kids as they "shop" on their own for cool pencils and pens, decorative folders, fun erasers, school emblem items, and even some small novelty toy items before school starts.
3-4 volunteers each store day are needed to man a "store" table on the stage. It does get crowded and we only have a limited time to "sell" before the bell rings.
Please consider one or more mornings, especially if you already drop off or walk to school. Its a great way to meet your child's classmates as well as other helpful parents!
You must be a paid PTA member to sign up. Please visit PT-Avenue's VOLUNTEER page and click the drop down menu for your sign up choice.
