After Pattison students voted on what they would like to challenge Mrs. Barker to do if our Colt Bolt fundraising goals were met, they watched anxiously for the tally to rise. Even after the fun run, they helped push for those final donations and waited patiently for the results.
When the total came in last week, the students were rewarded with the good news; the day was set for "pigging out" on their popsicle reward and seeing their Principal kiss an actual pig!
The BIG PIG Event!
With several big squeals, our guest "Wilbur" tried to thwart the big pucker up, but Mrs. Barker prevailed and laid a big one on his head!
Thanks for being a great sport, Mrs. Barker! And thanks to Mrs. Bolt & the Colt Bolt team for putting this all together and preserving the memories.
You can witness the big event here as the students did on Tuesday!

October 26th – October 30th
Red Ribbon Week is a week of learning about healthy life choices and having fun.
Please help us in supporting the 2015 national campaign of Respect Yourself. Be Drug Free.
In celebration of Red Ribbon Week, Pattison students will pledge to lead a drug free life.
I pledge allegiance to myself and who I want to be,
Because I can make my dreams come true if I believe in me.
I pledge to stay in school and learn the things that I need to know,
To make the world a better place for kids like me to grow.
I pledge to keep my dreams alive and be all I can be.
I pledge to help others and to keep myself drug free!
Join us in having fun this week by participating in our daily spirit wear activities!

This year, we are continuing our Fridays only scheduling:
7:50am-1:30pm, 2 Watch DOGS per grade level.
School Store will be open ONCE PER MONTH this year, and needs your help!
This a special morning for the kids as they "shop" on their own for cool pencils and pens, decorative folders, fun erasers, school emblem items, and even some small novelty toy items before school starts.
3-4 volunteers each store day are needed to man a "store" table on the stage. It does get crowded and we only have a limited time to "sell" before the bell rings.
Please consider one or more mornings, especially if you already drop off or walk to school. Its a great way to meet your child's classmates as well as other helpful parents!
You must be a paid PTA member to sign up. Please visit PT-Avenue's VOLUNTEER page and click the drop down menu for your sign up choice.
